Leary dosed fully cognizant artists, therapists and students. But meanwhile, over at Edgewood Arsenal Proving Grounds in Maryland, psychiatrist James S. Ketchum was testing LSD, BZ and other psychedelic and deliriant compounds on fully informed volunteers for the U.S. military
